About Strategies for Northern Development (SND)

Strategies for Northern Development (SND) is a local non-governmental organization working with nomadic pastoralist communities in Northern Kenya and Southern Ethiopia. Registered in Kenya in 2007, SND works to empower pastoralist communities to become self-resilient and live with dignity.

SND’s programming focuses on peace, conflict resolution and governance; humanitarian assistance and emergency response; protection, gender equality and inclusion; climate justice and resilience; livelihoods and enterprise development; WASH; and institutional effectiveness.

RFQ: Supply of Anthropometric Materials

SND, with funding from the Gates Foundation through the World Food Programme (WFP), is implementing the Positive Deviance Hearth (PDH) Impact Evaluation Project in Samburu County.

As part of the project, SND invites eligible and qualified suppliers to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of anthropometric equipment to support mass nutrition screening in the project’s target areas.

Items Required

The RFQ seeks quotations for:

  • SECA 2-in-1 weighing scales – 20 pieces
  • Height boards – 20 pieces
  • Adult MUAC tapes – 20 packs

Important: Quoted prices should be inclusive of all costs, including delivery to the SND Office in Maralal, Samburu.

Mandatory Submission Requirements

Interested suppliers are required to submit the following documents:

  • Business Registration Certificate / Certificate of Incorporation / Business Permit
  • CR12 or copy of ID card in the case of a sole proprietorship or partnership
  • Valid Business Permit
  • KRA PIN and Tax Compliance Certificate
  • Duly completed, stamped and signed BOQ
  • Proof of similar assignments completed
  • Audited reports for the last two years or bank statements for the last six months

Protection, Safeguarding, Inclusion and Ethical Conduct
