The Strategies for Northern Development (SND) is a locally established non-governmental organization working with nomadic pastoralist communities in Northern Kenya and Southern Ethiopia. SND was officially registered with Kenya’s NGO Coordination Board on 6th December 2007 as a fully-fledged NGO.
Guided by a vision of fostering a society where all pastoralist communities are resilient and live with dignity, SND’s mission is to empower and transform these communities to achieve self-resilience.
SND focuses on the following thematic areas:
