SND is a registered local non-governmental organization working with nomadic pastoral communities in Northern Kenya and Southern Ethiopia. Guided by a vision to see a society where all pastoralist communities are resilient and live dignified lives, we are committed to empowering and transforming these communities toward self-reliance.
As one of the key implementers of the Ethiopia Joint Disaster Response and Recovery (EJR) project, SND strives to achieve the objectives of this protection initiative in Dubluk Woreda, Borana Zone, Oromia Region. This project, which runs from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2026, targets the most vulnerable host and internally displaced communities in Dubluk through Multi-Purpose Cash (MPC) support, as well as through the prevention and response to various protection risks and concerns.
Accordingly, SND-Ethiopia invites interested suppliers to submit their bids for vehicle procurement in alignment with the specifications stated below.

Interested bidders are required to submit their proposals along with copies of the following documents:
- Company Profile
- Renewed Business License for Ethiopia, FY 2016 EC
- Valid VAT Registration Certificate
- Valid TIN Certificate
- Price Quotation: The offered price should be quoted in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) only.
Additional Information:
- Failure to meet any eligibility criteria, such as providing the registration license or VAT registration certificate, may result in rejection.
- Late submissions will not be accepted and will lead to automatic rejection.
- The offer should include detailed descriptions of the vehicle type, delivery options, stock availability, country of origin, place of manufacture, and price validity.
- Year of Manufacture: 2012 model – up to the present.
- Attaching a recommendation letter from other international organizations or sectors engaged in similar business is recommended.
- Successful bidders will be notified by the office and issued a fixed-price Purchase Order (PO).
Application Instructions and Deadline
Interested suppliers seeking clarification on the solicitation’s meaning or interpretation should submit requests in writing only. Questions should be delivered as a hard copy to the SND Ethiopia office at the address below at Admin Office, no later than October 25, 2024, by 5 p.m. (Addis Ababa time).

Evaluation Criteria
The Procurement Committee of SND Ethiopia will appoint a team to evaluate the submitted bids based on the following weighted categories:
- Fulfillment of Minimum Specifications (60%)
- Price Quoted (30%)
- Reference and Past Performance (10%)
