On 25 November 2025, SND officially launched the 2025 Global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence Campaign in Dukana, Marsabit County. The campaign is supported financially by Adyen and implemented in partnership with Plan International Kenya, under the global theme:
“UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls.”
The launch featured a vibrant community procession from the SND Office to Dukana Baraza Park, followed by community engagement sessions, entertainment, and strong solidarity messages from government representatives and partners.
The DCC Dukana through his representation, remarked:
“We call upon all actors working in advocacy and women empowerment to actively participate throughout this period to create real impact for our women and girls.”
A child participant shared:
“Sometimes children are hurt in silence, even through phones and messages. Today I learned that we are allowed to speak, to seek help, and to protect each other. I now know that my voice matters and my future must be safe.”
The launch was more than a procession. It was a public declaration that violence has no place in our communities, our homes, or our digital spaces. The voices raised in Dukana delivered a clear message: protecting women and girls is a shared responsibility, and silence is no longer an option.
With the support of our partners and the strength of the community, we step into these 16 Days committed to action, accountability, and lasting change.
The movement has begun. Let’s keep it going together.
