THEMATIC AREAS

Climate Justice and Resilience

Climate justice involves ensuring that both collectively and individually, we possess the ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from the impacts of climate change, along with implementing policies to mitigate or adapt to these impacts. It takes into account existing vulnerabilities, resources, and capabilities. On the other hand, climate resilience focuses on effectively coping with and managing the consequences of climate change, while striving to prevent these impacts from
exacerbating.

The discourse on Climate Change has garnered significant global attention, as temperatures rise, rainfall patterns shift, water bodies dwindle, instances of droughts and famines escalate, desertification expands, and biodiversity diminishes, among other consequences. To proactively contribute to mitigating climate change and its adverse effects, SND intends to utilize various mechanisms, interventions, and activities outlined in its 2024-2028 strategic plan.
